We at Potters Precision Imports are passionate about German Autos and have gone through lengths to ensure that your vehicle gets the much deserved care that it deserves. When we change your oil and oil filter, you can be sure that it gets replaced with only factory approved oil and an OEM oil filter.
Many German Auto manufacturers recommended that you change your engine oil and filter every 10,000 miles or 12 month. ex. 2006 and newer MB's.(See Service A & B Tab) For severe driving service however, it's best to do every 5,000 miles or six months. You then perform an "In-between" oil service but not have to perform the regular scheduled service. Most newer engines use direct-injection technology. Their engines run hotter to increase fuel efficiency. These engines should also be serviced more frequently. If you prefer to go longer and see the “Service” light illuminate, it is best not to ignore it and get the proper service done right away as the service interval is already very long. (and approved oil & filters are being used)
On Direct-Injected engines we also recommend our 3 part GDI Service. We add BG Engine Performance Restoration to the engine and operate for 30 minutes prior to our oil and filter service. This helps to clean and remove any harmful deposits before being drained out. We then add BG 44K fuel treatment to the fuel tank. The third step on our GDI Service to to add BG MOA to the new engine oil. It helps to keep the engine lubricated during cold starts by adding a protective film on vital engine parts. This service will greatly reduce the need for labor intensive Walnut shell blasting after the combustion chambers get choked out with carbon.
Any of the BG services that we provide include a free Lifetime Protection Plan as long as the initial treatment/service is performed before 100,000 miles.
It is important to have all of your services up to date on your German auto to keep it running and operating at peak power and efficiency. As miles add up on your engine oil it is contaminated with carbon from the combustion process. As the carbon content increases the ability for the oils detergents can no longer help to aid in lubrication. Premature wear is the result.
